Welcome to Gawthorpe Brass '85 and thanks for visiting our website.  We hope you like it!

We are proud of being a little different to many other community Brass Bands. We are a family of around 150 people, of all ages, backgrounds and abilities who come together to make music.  As you may have guessed from our name, we were formed in 1985, so in celebration of our Silver Anniversary in 2010, we have just recorded & released a new CD! Our organisation is very fortunate to have a Senior Band, a Youth Band, a Junior Band, a Training Band, a Beginners Club, a Music Workshop and a Music Fun Club.  We are completely self-financing, and therefore rely on making music that people want to listen to. 

Our repertoire is very diverse, from traditional marches & hymns, all the way through to the pieces from stage & screen.  We've even featured music from 'The Killers'!
